Leadership
Calvary has enjoyed a long history of regular and part time clergy who rely on our dedicated (and fun) vestry team to keep all the nuts and bolts of running a 150+ year old parish operating smoothly. Our clergy are then freed up to focus on services, pastoral care and outreach. In other words, if the furnace decides to act up in the middle of a polar vortex, they normally don’t hear about it until after the fact. We are proud of our self sufficiency and it is, in turn, much appreciated by them.
In December 2025, we bid a joyful retirement farewell to our "Priest in Charge,” Amma Kim Hardy, after 36 years of serving many New England parishes, most recently St. James (10 years) and Calvary for the past 19 months as we formed our Constellation with St. James. Going forward, St. James and Calvary will conduct a joint search for clergy. During the interim phase, we have a wonderful slate of "supply" priests who know both parishes well and we look forward to seeing them again.
And if, by chance, you are an Episcopal priest (or even a transitional deacon) looking for a vibrant, forward looking pair of parishes, well, we'd love to hear from you!

What is a Vestry?
A Vestry is a parish council composed of lay members of the church elected by active members of the parish. This group holds the important responsibility for the care and management of church property, as well as overseeing the business affairs of the congregation. Their leadership helps ensure that the church’s resources are stewarded wisely and that the needs of the community are met with faith and dedication.
